About the Project
Mission: AHP's mission is to advocate for equitable access to healthcare services, promote health education and awareness, and foster collaboration among stakeholders to improve the health and well-being of individuals impacted by incarceration.
Vision: We envision a society where every individual, regardless of their incarceration status, has access to comprehensive healthcare services, leading to improved health outcomes, reduced recidivism, and enhanced community well-being.
Focus Areas: AHP focuses on addressing key health issues prevalent in Indian prisons, including tuberculosis, malaria, hepatitis, malnutrition, anemia, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), HIV/AIDS, mental health, and universal health coverage.
